Which organizations help me to integrate?

The municipality and various organizations are involved in your integration. They all have their own role. They help me at the same time.

Municipal integration team

Civic integration counsellors work at the municipality. They guide you through the integration process. They do many things:

• They have conversations. Like the Broad Intake.
• They look at what you can already do and what you still need to integrate.
• Together with you, they will make the Integration and Participation Plan (PIP).
• They ensure that you receive proper/good language education.
• They supervise how you get to know Dutch society.
• They arrange that the municipality pays your rent, energy costs and
health insurance. At least 6 months of a period.
• They check if you are doing everything that you need to do.

Their supervision stops after 3 years.

Central Body for the reception of Asylum Seekers (COA)

The COA guides you through the procedure of placement in a municipality.

They are called: Case Managers of COA.

You will receive an Pre-integration program from COA.

They offer guidance to find a job.

Free and independent client support

Do you have questions about care, housing, work or parenting? Do you like it when someone thinks along with you? This can be done by a family member or friend. You can also ask an independent client support worker to help you. Or go with you.
