Which law do I fall under?                     

Since 2022, we have had different integration laws, side by side.                                                                                        So there are also different groups of newcomers. Here you can see which group you belong to.

Which organizations help me during my Civic Integration Route?

                                                                                                                The municipality and other organizations are involved in your integration. They all have their own role.

I get help from various organizations.                                   They help me at the same time.

How do I learn the language?

                                                                                                                        All newcomers are required to follow Dutch language courses.

Speaking and writing in Dutch is necessary. With everything. By learning, working, understanding society and getting to know people.

Which schools are there?

There are different types of schools in Zaanstad.
For your children and for yourself.
 

What do I do if I am sick?

                                                                                                                Are you ill? In that case you will get help. In the Netherlands you get a general practitioner and a dentist. You have to take out insurance for that.

How do I get to know people and Zaanstad?                                                        

                                                                                                                       I would like to get to know people, a buddy.
Or do something in the city. I can do that in several places.
